Spotify asks to import a local file

I have a file on my computer and I've added the directory as a source in spotify and it shows up but it still asks me to import the file.

I'm using Linux Mint 18 with KDE.

EDIT: It's doing this with all local files when I try and play them.

This is most likely because spotify still requires old libraries of ffmpeg to play local files, but the libraries in most modern distros are two/three versions newer.
