I normally don't install things through Fedora's app store, Software app, thing, but I did find that there's a Spotify Premium "preview" there, which, has been in the works since 2010! https://news.spotify.com/se/2010/07/12/linux/. It's not available for 'free' users, and obviously they're not in a hurry to get ads reliably displayed yet (see the blog post), so who knows if it ever will be.

I am a huge fan of Linux and am now using Fedora 22 at the moment.

To be honest, installing Spotify on rpm based Linux machines is (when doing it all yourself without scripts or repo's) a hell. You got to convert it and change lots of stuff. That's what sucks.

On the other side it does work good, but it is not as frequently updated as Windows' variant and also it is only made (officially) for Debian based machines.

I mean, this could be much better, right?

Spotify, you are awesome. Now be more awesome to Linx users 🙂

This is really important feature. Here are many Fedora/CentOS/openSUSE users need RPM packages.

It is very easy to make a RPM package. Cannot understand why Spotify never do it.

Dunno for you people but I just installed 'lpf-spotify-client' on Fedora (https://github.com/rpmfusion/lpf-spotify-client).

This pulled sources, compiled and created /var/lib/lpf/rpms/spotify-client/spotify-client-1.0.64.407-1.fc25.x86_64.rpm for me. This I could simply install with dnf/yum. Worked like a charm.
