Mac desktop app shows low quality cover image

Hello,

since the last update of the Spotify Mac desktop app the cover image in the bottom left corner is showing a low-quality image instead of the high-quality version shown in the previous versions. This bug was probably introduced in the latest app version bc I just spotted it in a week or so.

I grabbed a screenshot putting side by side the same cover image from the web player(left) and the mac desktop app (right). The difference in quality is striking.

We're aware of this happening in the desktop app. Take into account that images used as album art in Spotify require 640x640px minimum, so some images with low quality may appear blurred to screens with higher resolutions.

However, we appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback and we'll make sure to pass it on to the right folks.

This issue should now be fixed in version 1.1.76

The blurry (low quality) issue for the album art in the bottom left corner of the desktop app was fixed in version 1.1.75. There was a delay in this version going out over the holidays, but version 1.1.76 that includes this fix is now rolling out to users.
