      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Plan:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Premium&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Country:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;USA&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Device:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;MacBook Pro with Apple M1 Pro chip&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;OS:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Ventura 13.1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;My Question or Issue:&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My installation of Spotify fails in the same place each time:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;I download the official installer from spotify.com and run it&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;A dialog window with a progress bar opens that first says "Downloading Spotify", and then subsequently "Installing Spotify&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;After perhaps 10 seconds, an error dialog message opens with:&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;The title "Installation Failed"&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Dialog reading "An error ocurred while trying to mount the downloaded Spotify disk image"&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;2 buttons that read&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;"Download from Spotify.com" - clicking this button does nothing&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;"Quit" - clicking this button closes the install process&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;We'd suggest that you try to install the app in Safe Mode. More info on how to start this mode on your Mac you can find &lt;A href="https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh21245/mac" target="_blank"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It's also a good idea to check if your firewall isn't blocking Spotify. If that's the case, head to &lt;A href="https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh11783/mac" target="_blank"&gt;this&lt;/A&gt; article to see how to change your Firewall settings.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Thanks for the info. Try using the &lt;A href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/FAQs/How-can-I-perform-a-clean-reinstall-of-the-app/ta-p/4746485" target="_blank"&gt;clean reinstall&lt;/A&gt; steps to remove any traces of Spotify you may have, then try the install again. Also try the steps across different networks, even a hotspot made from your phone. Also if you have a VPN or some kind of proxy server active, please deactivate those/try the install on a network without the restrictions.&lt;/P&gt;
