Everytime I open Spotify after a while, I have to re-enable the settings "Library > Use compact library view" and "Library > Show Local Files". The libraray filter and order resets as well. I don't want it to be ordered by recents, I hate this terrible interface, because it cannot remember my preferences. How can I prevent Spotify on macOS from doing that?

Hey @modiX91, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵

That should not happen, these settings should persist. If you have not tried, please perform a clean-install of the app and see if that helps. You can also try disabling hardware acceleration from the desktop app settings. These settings are available in the menu bar: Help > Troubleshooting > Disable/Enable hardware acceleration.

In case the issue persists, make sure your app is updated, and please share your system software version along with the Spotify app version that you have installed.

Let me know how it goes. 🙂
