Using spotify web through MenubarX

My Question or Issue

Hey y'all. I prefer having Spotify web in my menu bar as opposed to opening the full application. But it won't let me access my library on web. It just shows a message to download the full app. Is there any work around for this? I really prefer the menu bar option, since i rarely want or need the full app interface.

sidenote: I wish Spotify had this option natively. Would it be that hard to use I.e the iPhone app as a base for a menubar app?

If this is something you'd like to see implemented, I recommend posting an idea (or looking for one similar to yours) at https://community.spotify.com/t5/Ideas/ct-p/newideas 🙂 The more votes the idea gets, the more likely it is that Spotify will look at it and consider it.
