&lt;P&gt;You mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Answers/How-can-I-perform-a-clean-reinstall-of-the-app/ta-p/4746485" target="_blank"&gt;clean reinstall&lt;/A&gt;, as it's more thorough than a normal one?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If this doesn't do the trick, could you check if the OS of your PC is up to date?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Lastly, does the same happen if you use a different internet connection? You can create a hotspot on your phone and using that to test it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

I click around and nothing happens. I tried restarting the app. Then I tried deleting and re downloading the app, and restarting my computer but the problem persists.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you Eni for your reply. I did my best to do a clean re-install and my computer is up to date on OS updates. The app still opens with an empty black screen. I quit the app and tried using a different internet connection, a hot spot, and still have the same issue. I also just tried disabling and re-enabling "Hardware acceleration" just in case, and nothing changed.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;it's possible that the "black screen" you’re mentioning could be related to some specific cache that was not totally cleared by the clean reinstall. In this case, we'd recommend deleting any entries which contain Spotify from the host files on your computer. To do so, you can follow the instructions in&lt;A href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/FAQs/Can-t-access-the-Web-Player/ta-p/4631438" target="_blank"&gt; this post&lt;/A&gt; (even if it's a different issue).&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Also, would you mind checking if the issue persists using the&lt;A href="https://open.spotify.com/" target="_blank"&gt;&amp;nbsp;Web Player&lt;/A&gt; instead of the Desktop app?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
