      <title>Spotify does not work Mac</title>

      <description>My Spotify app stopped working on my Mac.&lt;BR /&gt;The App does not show any content. I was able to perform a clean install which worked only one. After coming back to my Mac, the same issue occurred: Spotify does not show any content. After reinstalling the App again Spotify shows "client_token:101" as error message &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I performed a clean install including restarting my mac which does not work, it shows just the error message above. (I followed the instructions)&lt;BR /&gt;I also checked Mac hosts file - no entries for Spotify&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The iOS App works fine in the same network, also the Spotify webplayer in Safari. I can also stream Spotify on a Sonos speaker in the same network.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;MacOS 14.2.1 (23C71)</description>

Open the app, go to Settings, and change from Autodetect settings to No Proxy. Then restart Spotify and check if that helps.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you're still having trouble, could you send over the exact &lt;A href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/FAQs/How-can-I-check-which-version-of-the-app-I-m-running/ta-p/4979337" target="_blank"&gt;version of Spotify&lt;/A&gt; you have installed and a screenshot of the error you're getting?&lt;/P&gt;

It used to just be a completely blank screen but after restarting my mac, deleting and redownloading the app it will load a playlist if i give it a while but the home and search are still not working.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Just to confirm, have you tried the steps mentioned earlier in this thread as well? For example changing the proxy settings, disable hardware acceleration, different internet connection, checking the system settings etc. This will also help us avoid repeating steps.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Should the issue persist, could you check if you notice the same behavior when using the &lt;A href="https://open.spotify.com/" target="_blank"&gt;Web Player&lt;/A&gt;? If you're using any VPN, make sure to switch it off as well, as it could interfere with the service.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Maria,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have tried changing using different internet connections&amp;nbsp;(I don't use VPNs) and checked my Mac settings, I also just tried the no proxy and restart, which made loading playlists slightly faster but the other issues remain.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Was just having the same problem. Tried reinstalling it but it didn't work. Solved it by simply logging out and then logging in again.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;If the issue persists, we'd recommend clearing any entries which contain Spotify from the&amp;nbsp;host files on your computer.
