    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hey there,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for posting in the Community.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P data-unlink="true"&gt;Can you please try a clean reinstall of the app as described bellow. This is more thorough than a normal reinstall.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P data-unlink="true"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;OL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Quit Spotify.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Open&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Finder&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;then click&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Go&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;(on the menu bar on the top of the screen).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Select&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Library&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;from the drop-down menu that appears (you may need to hold the Option (Alt) key if&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Library&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;isn’t visible).&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Open Caches and delete the&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;com.spotify.Client&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;and&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;com.spotify.client.helper&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;folders.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Click the back arrow.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Open&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Application Support&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;and delete the&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Spotify&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;folder.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Hit Command+Shift+G from your OS X desktop to bring out the&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Go to Folder&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;window.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Enter /Library/ to open Library folder.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Enter “Spotify” in the search field, hit “Search: Library” and delete all files that appear:&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Shut down your computer.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Wait a couple minutes and then hit the Power button again to boot your device.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;&lt;A class="" href="http://www.spotify.com/download" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"&gt;Download&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;and install Spotify.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If the error still persists afterwards, try a different network connection. Are you able to use the web player without opening the desktop app?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do you have a different mac to test your account?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If possible, give a different Spotify account on your mac a go as well.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Let me know how it goes!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Desktop(mac) app doesn't open</title>

      <description>After a virus software signed problems with my Spotify app and it stop playing out of nowhere, I deleted the app, emptied trash, and re-downloaded, but now the app doesn't open at all. Nothing happens when I click on it. I've done this a few times, restarted my computer and all the basics you typically do. I believe is a Spotify problem now.</description>
