How do I get (back) to the track that is currently playing in the playlist?

My Question or Issue

Some time ago I only had to click on the album cover at the bottom left - and the song in the playlist where I started it was displayed in the middle. Now the additional album information opens.

How do I “find” my current track again - in the playlist in which it is currently playing?

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

At the top of that panel with additional information that you’ve mentioned ("Now playing view"), you can click on the title of the playlist to return to the currently-playing song's position in the playlist.

Thanks a lot for pointing us to this!
I feel it's a major flaw in the user experience now, and I can't even really see why this change happenned in the first place.

Clicking on the track that's currently playing on the bottom left corner felt like a logical thing, and something that had been around for ages. User experience at spotify might use a little user insight before operating such changes 🤷🏼‍♂️
Now I need a few clicks to get back to WHERE my music is playing from.
