Want to Disable Friend Activity

My Question or Issue

I want to disable friend activity. I don't want to be able to see everyone's activity. I tried the following:

- Disabling Display > "See what your friends are playing" Toggle

- Disabling Social > "Share my listening activity on Spotify" Toggle

Even after putting these changes into place, the "Friend Activity" button does NOT disappear and I am still able to see all my friend's livetime activity. I have tried restarting the app, restarting the device (computer), deleting the app entirely and redownloading the app, downloading the app on a different computer and logging into my account. None of these changes worked. I have heard from other users that they were able to disable it by trying the two toggles, so I am unsure why it doesn't work for me.

Thanks for reaching out.

Keep in mind that the Friend Activity button you see in the top right of your app is just a shortcut to open or close the listening activity tab without going to your app Settings. This button can't be removed, but it doesn't mean that the option to see someone else's activity is always on. It will only turn on after pressing the button, and you can turn it off by doing the same.

The listening activity is the actual tab that shows up with the list of friends, the icon above is basically just a button to turn it on/off.
