&lt;P&gt;Although there's currently no dedicated cut/paste button in the song context menu, you can still move one or multiple tracks to a different playlist by using the keyboard shortcuts in the desktop app. To do this, just:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Open the source playlist.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Select the tracks using click + Cmd/Shift click.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Press Cmd + X (cut).&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Navigate to the target playlist.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Press Cmd + V (paste).&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/OL&gt;

      <title>move a song from one playlist to another</title>

      <description>I would like to move all the Christmas songs from my main playlist and store them in a Christmas-songs-only playlist. Not just copy them. I want to move them from one to the other such that they are no longer on my main playlist. I see how to copy them. But there seems to be no means by which these songs can actually be moved from playlist to another.</description>
