      <title>Spotify desktop app not working anymore</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've used Spotify desktop for Mac without any problems for years (I have a premium account). But since the most recent update it has stopped working. I can open the app but it's extremely slow and would load forever and eventually show "Something went wrong". I can't search anything and can't even open the Home screen. This has been going on for weeks now. I reinstalled the app, to no avail.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have MacBook Air M2 (2022) with MacOS Tahoe Version 26.2.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Thanks for letting us know about this, sorry to see it's been going on &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To me this sounds like an issue with the hosts file. You can try clearing it by following the instructions from &lt;A href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/FAQs/Clearing-hosts-file/ta-p/6130332" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;this FAQ article&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;BR /&gt;In case the issue remains, we'd like to know if the app loads at all for you before reaching the error and if the error itself is only shown when you're trying to load a specific section of the app or any section overall.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Much appreciated! Keep us posted on how things go.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
