folder suddenly disapears after creation

My Question or Issue

I have an issue when i create a folder it is viewable for a second and then it disaperas (see the attached video)

its the same in both the web player and the dekstop client

Thanks for the screen recording. Could you try testing the same on your mobile device? Check out this guide for steps on how to create folders on the mobile app.

See if it works there and only not on the web player/desktop app. 🙂

Thanks for testing.

Do you have many folders already? Have you tried deleting an existing folder & then creating a new one to see if that works? Any playlists you had in there that happened to be removed can be recovered from your account page later, so no worries there. Alternatively, you can temporarily move them to another existing folder as well.

I installed the spotify client on my work pc today and it let me create folders but the folders doesnt sync to my other devices, ive logged out of all the devices and logged back in but the folders i created on the spotify client on my work pc doesnt show up.

Thanks for the update.

We’re not seeing similar reports from other users and haven’t been able to reproduce the issue on our side, which suggests it may be account‑specific. Could you try logging in with a different account on the same device and check if the issue still happens?

Additionally, if your account has a very large number of playlists, it may help to reduce them and check if that improves things.

I deleted a folder with 4 000+ playlists and that seem to have made it work again, i guess i had too much playlists
