Thanks again...but...all my playlists, etc. will be lost? Even if I have a premium account? It's not like I am deleting my Spotify account, so I thought all that info would still be on Spotify's servers.

Not exactly sure what a "clean" reinstall is, but I deleted the app from my Mac Air and iPad, rebooted both, reinstalled, and music is still there. Waiting for a crash 🙂

Spotify all of a suddent won't open on my Macbook Air. When I click on the dashboard icon, the pop-up message says the Spotify app may be damaged or incomplete.

Hey Theothistle, I'm going to venture a guess and say that the quickest and easiet way to fix this will be with a clean install. Just follow the steps I have listed below! Let me know if there's anything else!

Click Spotify in the menu bar, then Quit Spotify.

Open Finder then click Go > Library in the menu bar. (You may need to hold the Alt key if Library isn’t visible).

Open Caches and delete the com.spotify.Client folder.

Click the back arrow

Open Application Support and delete the Spotify folder.

Go to http://www.spotify.com/download and reinstall Spotify.

It's like when you call IT and they ask you if you've tried turning it off and on. :It's always the best first option. Well, almost always.

On the home screen, tap and hold the Spotify icon until it shakes.

Tap the X symbol on the icon.

Hold the Home and Power buttons down together until the Apple logo appears.

Open the App Store then search for and install the Spotify app.

Keep in mind that a clean reinstall will delete all data stored by Spotify, so you'll need to sync your offline music again.

When you re-install all that happens is local data is deleted. Al lyour playlists, etc., get saved on Spotify's servers, you just need to re-download your offline tracks. Like I said, this will solve about 90% of all problems. If you find yourself having to do it often though, then something is up and you should give a holler. Best of luck!
