While using Spotify on the mac (10.11 Dev preview) an error pops up with the following stack trace:

The application continues running if I just click Continue -- but the error can appear continually and often while using the application.

Hi mire3212, not so much a solution (sorry), but I believe that El Capitan is actually too new for Spotify at this point. I'm not entirely sure, so hopefully someone will be able to confirm/deny this, but if I am right, then it's just a matter of time as to when Spotify will be updated, and that should take care of the issue.

It seems to be caused by other applications which use the media keys, such as iTunes. Since I closed iTunes, I hadn't had this issue since.

Good catch, I'll have to test if this stops the error from occurring.

I'm not concerned about the error -- I was mostly hoping to just let Spotify know there's a bug in 10.11

Thanks for the report.

Since 10.11 is in beta, most apps from third party developers will not be officially supported until the public release.

Same problem here. This is of course just to provide Stopify developers advance notificaiton for their upcoming work on an updated version.

Got the same problem with beta 2 😞 iTunes , Mplayerx , Quicktime everything which is in the same time in use makes spotify crash :((

No response in few mins after it turn on itself and I need to force quit it.

Spoifyhelper occupy 99% of my CPU too.
