Running the latest build of Windows 1909, I recently "upgraded" to the UWP version of Spotify from the Microsoft Store. It looks and acts identically, but uses 60-70% of my CPU and the UI is super slow. For reference, the version downloaded from Spotify's website uses 3% of my CPU.

I found a few posts on here about similar issues, and followed any solutions they arrived at - cleared the cache, fiddled with settings, reinstalled the whole thing. It still swallowed up my resources. I ended up re-downloading Spotify from their website, and that version works fine, but what's going on here? Why does the Windows 10 store version run so poorly? Is it just my machine or is this a universal issue?

Running Windows 10 version 1909, build 18363

Intel Core i7 i-9700K

NVIDIA RTX 2080 Super

32gb RAM
