Remove 200 artists list limit

Please remove the two hundred artist listing limit of the desktop app, or make the list sortable by recently added on the website app that lists them all properly. This has been a problem since the beginning, almost 13 YEARS now!

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out about this.

Could you let us know if you can't add more artists to you saved artists or you can't see more than 200 on the desktop app?

Additionally, would you mind letting us know if this is only happening on your PC or on other devices as well?

Lastly, sending us the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your device would come in handy.

We'll keep an eye out for your reply 🙂

With the latest(new-look) update I can see more than 200 artists(1000), but certain ones I have added in the distant past(i.e Nirvana, Pixies, Depeche Mode) do not appear and they also don't show up in the search results of my library.

If I search for them in the regular search and right-click them it shows the option "follow" instead of "unfollow", but if I go to the artist's page it shows that indeed I am "following" them.

If I select to follow them with that right-click I mentioned they will appear at the top of my library-artists list until I restart the app, then they are missing and unsearchable once again(and they are still being followed by me according to the artist's own page)

I only use the desktop and not mobile version but I have heard from others that this problem has existed there also.

I can reproduce it on a number of PCs with different operating system versions of Windows, so I don't think the problem is on my end.

The website has been updated since my original post and now no longer shows the 400+ artists that it used to in addition to the 1000 that the desktop app now shows. My profile now says I am following 1000. It is not necessarily just old ones since adding new ones does not change the last one displayed.

The weirdest thing is that even if I unfollow them and refollow them even from the artist's page, they disappear from my list upon restart of the app!

Thanks for the reply.

We understand your frustration with potentially losing track of some of your favorite artists.

What you're describing sounds like the issue discussed here. After following more than 1,000 artists the Follow Artist option is reported to misfunction for some users. We've been informed that the right team at Spotify is working on this, however we don't have any official info on a definite timeline for a fix.

Can anyone from Spotify help and fix this problem on my profile: Desktop website and app limits the following count on user profiles to 1,000!!! ???
