[Desktop/Webplayer] Shuffle and Back does not work on certain playlists.

My Question or Issue

After using Spotify's Webplayer on a work device I have noticed that certain playlists in my library will brick my Webplayer, preventing it from shuffling, going back, or skipping for more than 2 songs in the queue. After playing 3 songs or skipping 2 it locks up, I am unable to play any other playlist or song until I log out and back in and choose a playlist such as (Top Songs of 2021, Daily Drive, Daily Mix). The playlist that has issues is a non-curated playlist with around 4000 songs.

I have seen this issue as well and seems related to playlist size.

Occurs on both Edge and Chrome webplayer
Unable to shuffle a playlist with ~8,800 songs
Other playlists can be shuffled

If it's any help, I've been able to work around by:

Play another smaller playlist
Shuffle that playlist
Double-click the larger playlist to play, and it starts playing on shuffle

Your workaround definitely works to get the shuffle working (without seeking and back button), however after 2 songs play through, the playlist refuses to keep playing and the webplayer becomes bricked, not allowing for change of playlist or song.

@tristan914, could you let us know if this is happening on the desktop app as well? On another note, we suggest that you check your firewall and antivirus software or apps to make sure Spotify is whitelisted or set as an exception. Also, make sure to uninstall any ad-blocker apps.

Keep in mind that as @11161644553 mentioned, having large playlists can have an impact on the performance. To avoid this, we suggest splitting your large playlist into smaller playlists to ensure an optimal performance.
