Settings don't appear.

I'm on the desktop version of spotify and I'm trying to access the settings in order for me to use local files. When I go to the top right where my profile is and click on the arrow the only options are account, profile, and logout. I tried seeing if account showed up anything with local files, but it didn't.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

The Settings option is located on the drop down menu displayed when you click your profile picture. It's under the Private Session option as seen below.

If you don't have it on your desktop version, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app. This is often an overlooked step, but it’s more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

If the issue persists, would you mind including on your next response the Spotify version you're currently running along with a screenshot where we can see the missing option? This will give us a better look at the issue to help you further.

Mine is missing on the app and this is not the first time it’s happened, it usuall just disappears and reappears randomly. Is this a glitch with the updates that happen?

Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.

Just to be on the same page, have you tried the clean reinstall process mentioned previously? If not, give it a try to see if it makes any difference.

If the issue persists, remember to include in your next response the OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running as @MihailY previously requested.

Lastly, and if possible; could any of you record a short video where we can take a better look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

We'll be on the lookout.
