Spotify Desktop stops playing music when screen falls asleep [Windows 10]

While playing music via the Spotify Desktop app and going AFK from my Windows 10 PC, Spotify stops playing my music after my screen falls asleep. This has not been an issue in the past, and I frequently used to leave my PC AFK while playing music while taking care of other tasks in the room and listening to music. The only thing that I can recall changing is updating the BIOS of my motherboard.

I am unsure if PC specifications are relevant, but here are my software specs:
Spotify for Windows - 1.1.88.612.gcc529952
Windows 10 - Version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1766)

Thanks for posting in the Community and sorry for the late reply, we just stumbled upon your thread.

This is definitely related to some system settings. We advise you to check the power settings of your Windows and if the PC goes to sleep or just turns the display off.
