My Question or Issue

Hi,

I've recently noticed that Spotify randomly stops playing my music, when I'm using some Microsoft apps such as Mail, Calendar, and system settings.

I have not noticed it happening when I'm on other apps, for now.

Is there any way to fix this?

Hey @user-removed,

Sorry to see you've been experiencing such an issue!
Have you tried running the app in Compatibility Mode with Windows 10 :?
I'm curious if that would make a difference.

I'd also recommend checking if the following setting exists in Windows 11:
1. Find the speaker icon on Taskbar. Right-click on it and select Sounds.
2. In the opened window go to Communications and set Windows to do nothing.
Test this & if that doesn't solve the issue, revert the setting to it's previous state (or leave it in a state of you preference).

Thanks for answering, and sorry for the delay.

I was not able to run Spotify in Compatibility Mode, because I have the Microsoft Store version.

I have also changed Communication settings, but it didn't fix the issue.

Anyways, I have recently noticed, that this issue, also happens when I'm playing a video on YouTube, or just anything. Therefore, I think I should post my issue to Microsoft community instead, as it happens to every app that reproduces audio (apparently), and it is caused by some Microsoft Apps.

I'm experiencing similar issues on my lenovo ideapad 5. Also the radio functionaliyty does not play at all
