Spotify not letting me loop one song

My Question or Issue

So. I like to listen to the exact same song, on repeat, for hours on end while I do stuff. Sometimes a certain song just really scratches that mental itch ya know?
Problem is, spotify refuses to let me loop the same song.
If it's part of a playlist or album, it'll play the whole thing even after I delete it from the waitlist entirely.
If I put it in a playlist on it's own, spotify insists on adding more tracks.

Please, spotify. I just want caramelldansen for 6 hours. That's all I want.

I like that Opera GX has a built in player because it means I don't have to keep an extra tab open. Do I really need to stay with youtube for this?

Thanks for posting in the Community.

As you've mentioned you're using a free account without a Premium subscription, the described behavior seems expected.

An account without a Premium subscription has certain limitations on the number of tracks played on demand, number of skips and minimum number of songs in a playlist.

I know you don't have any power over this so this anger isn't directed at you, but I find it extremely frustrating that spotify is SO intent on making their app so difficult to use for free users. The restrictions they put on us are**bleep**.

Be advised, that there're minimal age requirements to use the Spotify service. You'll need to check the ones applicable for your region in your terms and conditions. If you'd like to sign up, you need to be over that age when you create an account.

We also have Spotify Kids app and it's is available in certain countries. This app has extended parental control features to allow minors to enjoy musical content as well.

Could you let us know what exactly happens when you try listening to a song on repeat? We'd also like to know if you're experiencing this behavior across devices or only on a specific one.

If this happens only on a specific device, you can try logging out and then logging back in to your account twice in a row. This will trigger a sync between your account and device.

Thanks for posting here and welcome.

We suggest you log out and log in twice in a row onto your Spotify account. This could sound a little bit odd, but this way the system will force a resync of your account in general.

If the above doesn't do the trick, then we'd like to gather some additional info about this behavior. Please send us the following:

The make/model and OS of the affected device.
The exact Spotify version you're running there.
Does this happen across all your devices?
Would you mind giving us more details? Do you enable it on repeat, but songs continue changing? Or is it more like you can find the option?

My Question or Issue

I recently updated to be able to see my spotify wrapped and when I started playing music again I wanted to repeat a single song but it didn't let me. I click on the repeat icon and it only lets me repeat the playlist.

I hope this issue gets resolved quickly.

Hello, I've been having the issue where it won't let me play a song on repeat, while I do not have a premium account, I am using a laptop. It will not let me play certain songs on repeat. it lets me with most songs but with some it will not. my example of the one at this moment is "Bottom" by McCafferty. Do you have any solutions that could fix this?

Spotify isn't showing the option to repeat anymore, it has this minus sign thing which makes.the song hidden in the list, and I don't know what to do anymoree!!😩😫😭And I don't know what to do, I can't find the button anywhere, I thought maybe they moved it, but no, it's not even theree!! Ughhh😩😫

This has gotta be one of the worst updates Spotify has ever had. It's as if you're bent on making the listening experience as miserable and inconvenient as possible. I wish there were an app with all the privileges Spotify has deprived it's consumers of, because as soon as it presents itself, trust me more than whatever deity you worship that I will abandon Spotify like a **bleep** child. Until then, YouTube will have to be my saving grace, for you will not squeeze a single red cent from my body. I genuinely hope you are ashamed.

The affected device's make, model and OS version.
The exact Spotify version you're currently running.
All troubleshooting steps you've already tried.
Since when is this happening? Did it start after an app's update or some other specific situation?
