Spotify won't open if Inkscape is open

My Question or Issue

This has been an ongoing issue for years and there is still is no definitive answer. Why does the Spotify desktop app refuse to open (with no error message or other indication) if the program Inkscape is open on my Windows 10 computer? This is such a weird issue and I'm surprised more people aren't experiencing it.

Hey @countmaxwell

That's interesting... There was a similar issue with Gimp a little while back, here's its Issue thread in case it provides anything helpful.

When you open Spotify before opening Inkscape, does it work as expected?
Also, look for logs from Event Viewer, logs for Applications and maybe System should definitely say something about Spotify refusing to open.

Also, are you using a WIndows Store installation, or a standalone install version of Spotify?
