Hey @Lyubka,

The sampling rate was indeed higher than 192kHz, lowering it did not immediately fix the issue, but that and a restart did. The article you sent was sadly not much help as I had already tried all the applicable steps. I'm still rather curious how this issue has only after the last update come to affect me, since I have been using this audio interface for about 4 months now with the highest sampling rate and no issues.

Either way, thanks for the help and have a nice day!

Hey,

since the last update my Spotify has been steadily refusing to use my default audio output device. First I put my default output as specific default for Spotify in the sound mixer, then I started disabling the devices Spotify was using instead of my default. However, if I disable all but the device I use the sound becomes distorted and almost like it was put on 0.5x speed, otherwise the issue persists every time I start Spotify. I have to manually switch my output device back and forth to get Spotify to play through the default. I'm using Win11 on an Asus ROG Zephyrus G15, the audio interface I use is a SoundBlasterX G6. Nothing has been able to fix this issue for me, restart, reset, reinstall, resetting drivers. Any help or input would be great.

Hey @Asbu,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.

Could you check if the sampling rate for your audio interface is set to anywhere between 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz? Spotify supports up to 192 kHz, so using a higher sampling rate may cause instability.

You can change the sampling rate from your audio interface's software or by right-clicking on the speaker icon in Windows' tray bar > Open Sound settings > Sound Control Panel. A list of your active devices will show up. Right-click on your audio interface > Properties > Advanced.

If you’re still having sound or audio problems, we'd suggest that you take a look at this article.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes!

Wow i had to dig too deep to find this answer, one should put this somewhere more obivious.

I had this problem after switching back from Tidal to Spotify. Tidal supports higher Sampling Rates and that might lose Spotify users when its not working out of the box if the Settings are on the default...

Anyway, glad this worked thanks
