Hi there @arcadiatf2,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Sorry to hear that you're having such issues with the Desktop app. In order to narrow down what could be causing the issue with the Desktop player, you can try the following:

Log in with a different Spotify account. You can create a free account for test purposes. This way you can check if the issue is related to your account.

Try connecting to another network if possible, it could be a mobile WiFi hotspot. this way you can test is the issue is related to your network connection. Please switch off any VPN/ Firewall or private tunnel. These apps limit the traffic through certain networking ports, which can cause Spotify to malfunction.

Disconnect any type of Bluetooth/ WiFi speaker, like Sonos etc. It's possible that this connection could be causing the issue.

Let us know how it goes, and tell us if any of that helped and what other troubleshooting you've already done.

We'll do our best to help.

I have never been able to get the desktop app to function properly and I'm honestly considering unsubscribing altogether.

For some reason, when spotify opens from launch it randomly speeds through every song in my library, and I cannot pause or do anything. Eventually it gets stuck on whatever song and I can't switch it or play any song at all.

I have tried pretty much everything I can find through googling this issue. I think I saw a thread a year or so ago but can't seem to find it now.

In the web player everything works fine, but there are no playlist sort options in the web player for some reason.

Please help 🙂
