My Question or Issue

Some of the advertisement banners in the app are not displayed at all, but an "Access Denied" text and a long random string of characters instead. The text is black on dark grey background.

Not that I would be interested in seeing the ads, I'm just worried that the artists I listen to won't get paid. 🙂

Is this on all devices or only on specific one(s)? How about the webplayer?
When did this start happening?
What models are the affected devices? What Spotify Versions are you using?
Screenshots or a video of the behaviour

Here's the requested information.

I use Spotify only on my laptop. The web player seems to be working OK.
This started happening a few weeks ago already.
The model of the affected device is: HP 255 G1 Notebook PC. I am using version: Spotify – Windows (64-bit) 1.2.15.828.g79f41970
Screenshot of the banner on the app is attached.

As I mentioned earlier, it's black text on dark grey background, so it may be difficult to see.

Thanks for getting back to us with this info.

To make sure this isn't a localized issue, can you please run a clean reinstall of the app, check your hosts file and try using a different internet connection (like a hotspot on your phone)?
