Smart Shuffle automatically turning itself back on

My Question or Issue

Every single time I try to turn off smart shuffle, it automatically turns itself back on. If I turn on shuffle and then stop interacting with the app completely, I can literally watch as the button automatically blinks to smart shuffle. I click it another time and it turns off completely, I click it ONCE to turn on regular shuffle and watch again as it automatically blinks over. This happens every single time with every playlist I have. I can't shuffle any of my playlists without recommendations. I can either have Smart Shuffle or no shuffle.

If you haven't already, could you give the app a clean reinstall with the steps here? It can help resolve issues with the app's performance. What you can also try is restarting your PC in Safe Mode with Networking to see if the issue persists there as well.
