Notifications button missing after update

I just updated the desktop app and have been greeted with the old style UI - where the Search and Home buttons are back to the left panel. Also, the Notifications button is missing.

I'm getting really fed up with what appears to be constant changes to the desktop app. I personally prefer the Search, Home and notification buttons on the title bar. I appreciate experimentation has to occur, but surely there can be an option to opt in or out of this.

It seems users are the last consideration. Sadly, a once great service has turned into an utter mess.

Please fix this.

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

Just to confirm, are you referring to the bell icon/What's New button? We had a look from our end, and this icon appears for us on the right-hand side of the desktop app.

In that case, could you try clearing stored cache to see if you notice a difference? Once it's done, try logging out from the app and back in again twice in a row. As odd as this may sound, completing these actions should resync your account info.

Should it still not appear, could you let us know what app version you're currently running? You can check this by following the steps here. A screenshot of how things look from your end would also be helpful.
