      <title>Jam Won't Open To Desktop App</title>

When I click a link to join a jam, it opens to the web version of Spotify where it says "You can join this Jam from the Spotify app" with no prompt to open or go to the desktop app. When I first found this issue, I was using the desktop app from the Microsoft store. I reinstalled from the Spotify website, to no avail. The only workaround I've found is to join the Jam from my phone and switch my active speaker to my desktop, but this &lt;EM&gt;obviously is not the intended way&lt;/EM&gt; and &lt;EM&gt;very inconvenient&lt;/EM&gt;. I'm looking for either 1. a fix or 2. be told this bug is out of my control and I can't fix it myself. This issue is affecting my friends as well and it'd be cool if I can report back to them with a fix. Thanks.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Sorry to hear about your experience with the Jam feature. Do you remember when this started happening, maybe after a recent update? Are your friends also unable to access Jam from the Desktop app, could you direct them to this thread so we can have their input as well.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We would suggest a clean uninstall of the app, that will help you start with Spotify completely fresh. You can find steps on how to perform a clean uninstall &lt;A href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/FAQs/How-can-I-perform-a-clean-reinstall-of-the-app/ta-p/4746485" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;here&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hey, sorry about the late reply, but I've tried that and I still can't join Jams via desktop. Any further suggestion would be appreciated. My friends say they have the same exact issue that I do, that the link simply doesn't open to the desktop app and instead redirects them to the website.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

 &lt;LI&gt;Is this on all devices or only on Desktop?&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;When did this start happening? Did it work before?&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;The exact makes, models and OS/Firmware versions of all your affected devices&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;The exact Spotify Versions you use.&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;A video of the behaviour. If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.&lt;/LI&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;-Desktop only&lt;BR /&gt;-It never worked before&lt;BR /&gt;-Reference OP, Windows version: 23H2 22631.3593&lt;BR /&gt;-Whatever latest version is&lt;BR /&gt;At this point, the issue is no longer present. For unrelated reasons I reinstalled Windows the other day and it seems to work now. As for my friends, one of them reinstalled Spotify from the website (they had Microsoft version) and it works for him now, too. I'll have everyone else do this as well. I'll report back with results.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

We all are on desktop for this and on the most recent version of Windows 11 Pro Version 25H2. I do have a video, but am unable to send it as the file size is too large, even when compressed. I have tried re-installing from both the Microsoft store version and the Spotify website version, but neither work. Any help and steps forward would be appreciated as this has been inconvenient for a long while.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
