Back button from lyrics screen is gone

Premium, New Zealand, Microsoft Windows 11, System Model Aspire A315-23

I rarely post to forums like this, but this has turned out to be the most frustrating issue I've ever had with Spotify. When I click onto the lyrics screen there's now no 'back' button to take me back to where I was (which is usually thousands of songs deep in a playlist might I add!)

So, every time I wish to see lyrics, I have to leave the playlist/ search to get out of the screen.

Praying they fix it because it's driving me insane.

Welcome and thank you so much for participating in our Community!

You're right, there is no X button to exit lyric mode. On PC you can find the lyrics option on the right hand side of the bottom actions bar, between the "now playing view" and "Queue" buttons. From there you should be able to both pull up the lyrics and minimize them.

I'm suddenly having this issue too and agree it's frustrating. I'm sure there used to be a back button there. And while clicking the lyrics button to turn them off before you click back is a workaround, it's not intuitive.

Baffles me that he UX has been degraded this way, because i was also lost for a while, but in case anyone is looking for a workaround, Alt + Left Key can serve the same purpose and help you navigate away from the lyrics screen.

Where the **bleep** is the back button anywhere? I can't even go back from a certain album or playlist to the artist? I have to go back all the way and click things
