How do I add crossfade when I'm on browser?

I am on the browser currently, not the app, and I wish to turn on crossfade, but every option that has been shown, I do not have. I do not have the arrow on the top-right of my screen and it is bugging me.

Hey there,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

The Crossfade option is currently not available on the web player. You can activate it only in the mobile/desktop app on the device the app is installed on and you cannot activate it through Spotify Connect on other devices. More info on this you can find here.

Why is it still not solved?

Nobody listens to Spotify on his mobile, I have a Sound System and want to Crossfade Songs!

It's absolutely not userfriendly...

Is this still true? I can't find the playback option on my chromebook Spotify app but the web link you pointed to says, I should be able to.

Hey folks,

The web version of Spotify does not support Crossfade yet and in general offers access to less features compared to the standalone app.

If you have a 2018 or later model Chromebook, you can install the Android app from the Google Play Store instead. More info on how to install apps on your device can be found here.
