The spotify web player is bugging

I tried contacting support on this, so far to no avail. The Spotify web player won't play because it says it's playing in another tab, when I have no other tabs with spotify open. I've tried logging out of everywhere, and trying to switch where it's playing but none of that worked.

This issue could be caused by a number of factors, like corrupted browser cache or network restrictions. You can try the following troubleshooting:

Try clearing your browser cache and cookies and check if there are any available updates. You can find the relevant steps for your browser on the browser help page.
Try using an incognito browser window
Try using another browser
Make sure that there is no ad-blocker or pop-up blocker enabled for Spotify
Switch off any VPN and make sure that Spotify traffic is whitelisted through your firewall. Note that if you're using a school/ company computer or network, traffic for the Spotify app might be blocked.

Thanks for the response, the person I was talking to helped me get to the solution a bit later. The solution I had for this was to try to play a song, and it worked, I'm not sure why it was bugging but thanks for the response

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Spotify Community!

I highly recommend trying the steps suggested by @Alex if you haven't already. Apart from them, another thing you can try is connecting to a different WiFi network or a hotspot from your mobile device if possible to see if the same thing happens.

Spotify on browser keeps on breaking more as time goes on. Ads are randomly stuck in an infinite loop and songs no longer auto play even when it's enabled. What is GOING ON?!?
