Issue with Spotify Installation

Hello everyone,

I’ve been using the Spotify app for years. Recently, for some unknown reason, I had to reinstall the app. However, after the reinstallation, no shortcut was created on my PC.

I had to struggle for a while to locate the app in its strange location and attempt to manually create a shortcut on my taskbar. It's really surprising that such a popular app doesn’t provide an easy access option after reinstalling.

Has anyone else encountered this kind of issue with Spotify?

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

It sounds like it could be related to the current permissions and settings of your device. You should, however, still be able to add/pin the Spotify app icon to your desktop. Feel free to have a look at this page from Microsoft for more details.
