My Question or Issue

I have downloaded the app onto my desktop just now and I cannot download a playlist. I do not have the download icon at all.

Thanks for reaching out.

Are you also hearing ads when listening to music? If yes, we'd suggest checking the steps in this article.

However, if that's the only Premium feature that doesn't work, it might be that you've downloaded the Spotify web player as a web app through your browser instead of the desktop app from our website or the Microsoft Store. If that's the case, the app would look like this (see screenshot below) and you won't be able to download playlists since offline listening is not available in the web player.

To solve the issue, you would just need to download the actual desktop app from one of the two sources linked above.

If your app looks different, please send us a screenshot or a short video so we can take a closer look and assist you further.
