Try launching Spotify using the command line (Windows Button + R) and entering:
%APPDATA%\Spotify\spotify.exe --disable-accelerated-layers --disable-accelerated-fixed-root-background

Let me know if that works!

Hello,

since i had some grafic driver problems (they are all fixed now) spotify doesnt start anymore. It doesnt even show the splash. The only thing that happens is that one "SpotifyWebHelper" task opens.

What ive already tried:

-Start Spotify.exe as administrator or in cmpatibility mode

-Start Spotifylauncher.exe aas administrator or in compatibility mode

-Reinstall spotify

-Update spotify

-restart computer several times

Im using Win7 Ultimate (slightly modified version).

Also, maybe it helps, i can start spotify as often as i want. Even if i start is 10 times at the same time (batch) it doesnt show the error that its already running.

Might be worth trying the safe mode install trick to see if that makes any difference?

http://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Community-Blog/Tutorial-Windows-How-to-Fix-Error-17-Installer/ba-p/498906
