Local files upload not working on desktop

My Question or Issue

I downloaded local files on a file on my pc but when I’m trying to add it to spotify using the "add a source" button, the "desktop" and "downloads" buttons aren’t working, along with many others. This means that I have no way to important my local files for some reason.

Thanks for reaching out!

I've seen this happen before when a preceding folder is named with symbols or letters Spotify can't read correctly. I'd advise placing the songs in a different folder and selecting it via the 'Add a source' button:

As for the buttons that aren't working, are you referring to the same ones shown above? They only show up when 'Show Local Files' is enabled.
In case the button behaviour remains the same, as you've also mentioned that this affects other buttons, we'd recommend the following troubleshooting steps:

Clear your app's cached data as shown here
Log out of the app and back in twice in a row to trigger a manual sync of all your settings and data
Perform a complete clean reinstall of the app if 1. and 2. don't bring any change
