My Question or Issue

In the desktop app it is possible to right-click the columns in an album (alternatively clicking on the down arrow on the right) to hide rows.

Regardless of which album view type is used ("Compact" and "List") these settings reset after leaving the album view. Every column will be shown again afterwards.

I want these settings to be persistent, so that the columns I've set to be hidden stay hidden until I toggle them back on.

There is currently no feature that allows hidden columns to remain hidden after you leave the album view. Whenever you return, the settings will be reset and all columns will be displayed again.

If this is an improvement you would like to see in Spotify, I encourage you to share your suggestion on the Ideas Board here in the Community. The Spotify team monitors this board to evaluate new ideas from the community, and others can vote to support your suggestion.

Quite pointless to offer to select columns and then revert them as soon as you go to another list.

Thanks for posting this. Years ago, the desktop version had the capability of resizing the columns which was useful. Then for years, this feature disappeared making it difficult to see the entire title of a selection, particularly classical music pieces. I had given up hoping this capability would come back. By chance I just discovered it was back. You can now resize columns and choose which columns are visible. Thanks!
So I definitely agree, make this capability persist in the album view. If someone has posted this suggestion on the Ideas Board can you provide a link to the suggestion?
