Hello @meganjohnston16,

Thanks for reaching out via the Community!

Does this happen if you open Spotify in full screen or regardless? Does it occur if you open specific content on Spotify? As far as I understand this is also happening in the Web Player and not only in the app which is very odd.

If it's happening both in the app and Web Player, then there could be a specific setting enabled/disabled which is causing this. Could you go to Settings > Display > Display short, looping visuals on tracks (Canvas) and disable it both in the app and Web Player in case this changes anything?

When it comes to troubleshooting the app, keep in mind that it's possible to download it both from our website and the Microsoft Store and they can have different behavior. I recommend deleting the current version you're using and downloading it from the other source. You can also take a look at the step for a clean reinstall here to get rid of any leftover files.

When it comes to your laptop, you did mention trying to change the display and brightness settings which is great. I also recommend making sure your graphics drivers are up-to-date and to check in case you've got any auto brightness settings enabled and to possibly set Spotify as an exception.

Lastly if none of the steps make a difference, it would be great if you could send us a video via the Insert Video option in the post editor. If the attachment's too big, then you can upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us.

Appreciate the cooperation and hope to hear from you soon.
