Desktop app shuffle button not changing

My Question or Issue

On the desktop app I will try to switch between smart shuffle, shuffle, or no shuffle. The icon changes for a split second only to change back to the previous one it was on. This has been happening on and off for the past month or so. I've been changing it by switching to listening on my phone then changing the shuffle option and switching back to my desktop. It's quite tedious and the website doesn't have smart shuffle otherwise I would just use that.

If this is happening only on the desktop app, I would suggest a clean-install of the Spotify app. Please find the guide for a clean-install here.
