Lost feature: URI link with timestamp

My Question or Issue

Prior to this most recent version update, I used to be able to copy a song's URI link and add a # timestamp (e.g., spotify:track:7iqS4pS1eVQbsJGbJKVwQb#0:39) in order to share the song so that it would start playing at that specified time in its duration.

This feature now seems to be lost. I've figured out that it is still possible to copy a song's URI link (not only the Song Link or embed code) by pressing the ALT key, but now the # timestamp addition is ineffective - any linked song will simply start playing from the beginning.

Is a new timestamp specification format required, or is this a bug that one can hope will be resolved in the next update?

Yes, there are very long pieces out there and we do not always want to start from beginning.
Strange that such an important feature just is removed...

We ABSOLUTELY need the timestamp feature back! Why oh why would you take it away?

For podcasts it is essential for sharing with friends-- which unlocks new engagement and users to Spotify Premium!!

I'm not sure whether I've understood your question; however, when you 'share -> copy link' from mobile, there's a URL parameter `t` that creates a start from point

Obvs I can't guarantee that that'll work in the windows app, plus the URL method may not be what you want; aside from the fact that the question is from 2021 – though some of the subsequent messages are much more recent – etcetera
