Hi everyone,

I've been using the Spotify desktop app for a while and really appreciate the continuous improvements. However, I’ve noticed a recurring issue when using multiple screens.

When I try to open the app on my desktop monitor, it often defaults to a different screen, which can be frustrating when trying to manage multiple tasks. One workaround I’ve found is maximizing the app on the desired monitor and closing it, so it reopens on the same screen. While this helps, it’s not a permanent solution.

It would be fantastic if the app could remember the last screen it was opened on, making the experience smoother for users with multiple monitors. Additionally, ensuring that the app doesn’t interfere with external displays or cause any gray screens would be a huge usability improvement.

I really appreciate that the Spotify Community provides a space to discuss these ideas and share suggestions—it’s great to have a dedicated forum for user feedback and solutions.

Looking forward to hearing others’ experiences and any additional tips or workarounds.

That’s a good suggestion. You should post it in the Idea Submissions forum and it may be considered for future versions of the app.

Just be sure to check out if the idea is already there. If it's not, submit it after reading the idea submission guidelines. 🙂
