&lt;P&gt;From what you posted, you were told that the Spotify app was not supported on your device because of the outdated software version. Typically, when you complete a reinstall (uninstalling the app in this case), the new version attempts to load on your computer. You can view the system requirements &lt;A href="https://support.spotify.com/article/supported-devices-for-spotify/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I’d recommend restarting your desktop and then attempting to download Spotify again &lt;A href="https://spotify.com/download" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt;. You also mentioned you’re using Windows 10, can you confirm if it’s 64-bit? You can check following &lt;A href="https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/find-information-about-your-windows-device-a66d52c8-3323-44fd-8f34-a9497bb935e1" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;these steps&lt;/A&gt;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, yes 64bit W10 up to date.&lt;BR /&gt;I tried eveything&amp;nbsp; people suggests here and there and same issue persists. Untill I tried installing from the fullsetup exe.&lt;BR /&gt;Now I can run Spotify desktop. It seems to be a newer version, where can I see which version I'm running?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;One issue appears now:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Search is broken, any search on&amp;nbsp; "what do you want to play?" field&amp;nbsp; brings the&amp;nbsp; following:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Something Went Wrong&lt;BR /&gt;Reload Page&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Restarting the app wont solve this.&lt;BR /&gt;Very annoying.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;dd&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

You can check the current Spotify app version you’re on following &lt;A href="https://support.spotify.com/article/checking-spotify-app-version/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;these steps&lt;/A&gt;. Let’s try force closing the Spotify app (do not restart at this point) &amp;gt; Restart your Windows &amp;gt; Reopen Spotify app. Let me know if that makes a difference.&lt;/P&gt;
