My Question or Issue

I cannot find an option to remove a single device from the list of available devices. The list currentlx contains a device with chromecast, but isn't mine and I will never use this, so it really does not need to be listed there

I understand your concern. If you feel strongly about bringing back the feature that allows for better control of your offline devices, make sure to cast your vote for this idea.

In the meantime, if you have access to your device, you can remove the downloads either from the Spotify app (Settings > Data-saving and offline > Remove all downloads) or by clearing the app's cache and data. Should you face issues locating the offline device that's preventing you from downloading to a new one, feel free to send Spotify a private message here. They will take a closer look and do their best to help removing any offline devices you are having trouble with.
