Volume gets put to max randomly.

This happens whenever I open spotify, the first song always starts at max volume. It also happens randomly or whenever I play a song from my local files.

We haven't received reports about this recently, so we'd like to gather some more info and take a closer look:

Does this also happen when connected to headphones/speakers or switching between devices?
Does it only occur in the desktop app or the Web Player as well?
Is your PC asleep before you open Spotify or is this also happening after it was shut down and turned on afterwards?

What we recommend trying is playing around with your Windows sound settings to see if that makes a difference. You can try disabling sound enhancements and unchecking "Exclusive Mode" in the "Advanced" tab of your audio device's properties, for example.

One more thing that's worth the shot is a clean reinstall of the app to remove any damaged cache that might be causing this. If you've downloaded the app through the Windows App Store so far, give it a go directly from Spotify's end this time.
