&lt;P&gt;To help narrow down the possible cause for this, could you let us know the following:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;Does the &lt;A href="https://open.spotify.com/" target="_blank"&gt;web player&lt;/A&gt; on the same PC display the images correctly?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/LI&gt;
 &lt;LI&gt;If possible, could you try logging in with a different account and see if the same occurs. You can use the account of someone you know or make one yourself.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In the meantime, consider deleting the host files as shown &lt;A href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/FAQs/Clearing-hosts-file/ta-p/6130332" target="_blank"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt;, hopefully this can also help get the app working as expected again.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Could you check if the app isn't in &lt;STRONG&gt;Offline mode&lt;/STRONG&gt; by accident? You can do this from the three dots menu in the top left corner &amp;gt; File &amp;gt; Offline mode.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If the issue persists, I'd recommend installing Spotify again, only this time from another source: if you previously got the app from the &lt;A href="https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9NCBCSZSJRSB" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Microsoft Store&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/A&gt;, check if downloading it from &lt;A href="https://spotify.com/download/" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;our website&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/A&gt; directly makes a difference and vice versa.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>Tried to toggle between offline mode and not and still the same.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I've tried installing from Microsoft Store and the Spotify download, and&lt;BR /&gt;still the same. I literally just updated the Spotify app and then this&lt;BR /&gt;happened. No matter if I clean install, there is no art or thumbnails.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I appreciate your help.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>The hosts file had nothing pertaining to spotify or lastly.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;However, I just booted up today and opened Spotify and it was back to&lt;BR /&gt;normal. Don't know what happened since I restarted the PC many times during&lt;BR /&gt;troubleshooting and nothing worked.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank you to everyone who tried to help. I'm just glad it's okay now.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
