Hi, so i have an issue where album covers are not showing and downloading, I'm using Spotify that I downloaded from the Spotify site also I'm running on windows 11.

Hi there @Oskiii,

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Let's start off with disabling/enabling Hardware acceleration + restarting the app. The option can be found by clicking the three dots menu in the top left corner > Help > Troubleshooting. You can try resetting the app data as well (also found in the same menu).

Note: resetting the app data will log you out and reset your settings, so you'll have to adjust them again. If you had music downloaded for offline listening, you'll have to re-download it as well. Your library, however, will not be affected, so no worries there.

If the issue persists, I'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app. It's also worth installing the app from a different source: since you're currently using the version from our website, try the one from the Microsoft Store instead to see if everything looks good there.

Are the album covers visible when using the web player? Can you send us some screenshots or a short video of how things look on your end?

Also, let us know your current app version and share as many details about the issue as possible so we can try to reproduce it on our end (e.g. are the covers not visible anywhere in the app or just your playlists/the Now Playing View/in search results/the artist pages? Do you get the same behavior with podcast episodes?)

We'll be on the lookout for your response.

Okay, so the same happens for the web player, but it loaded more covers. Also, the version of my Spotify is 64bit: 1.2.48.405.gf2c48e6f.

The problem starts when I'm beginning either a desktop app or web player the covers are just not loading, maybe it's my wifi problem.

I'm sending two screenshots one from the web player and another from the desktop app.

Thanks for the info!

Make sure you're not using any VPN services. If the issue persists with no VPN, you may be right about the internet connection being at fault.
We can see if this is the case by using a different one, e.g. a hotspot if it's possible for you as you're using a desktop device.

Alternatively, you could try logging in on a different PC/ Web Player. This way we'll know for sure if this is an account issue or a network-/ PC-related one.

Hi so it was a WIFI related one I installed a free VPN and it started working, but anyway thanks for the help

Album Art not showing on downloaded tracks in offline mode

I have downloaded a playlist containing a few dozen songs from single albums by some of my favorite artists and the album art/ thumbnail of album art on the now-playing tab doesn't appear when I'm in offline mode. Is there any way to make the album arts download with the audio files?

This is happening for me on my webplayer. The album covers do not load but on the app they are all there. I've tried all the suggestions above, hotspotting & clearing cache and restarting and nothing has worked.

@nolights8, can you check with a different browser and in an incognito window? In case you use any ad blocking extensions, you might also want to disable them temporarily to see if that makes a difference.

Another thing that I'd recommend is flushing DNS - you can find the steps online depending on the browser you're using, but it's usually pasting *browser name*://net-internals/#dns in the address bar, clicking Enter and then "Clear host cache". For example, chrome://net-internals/#dns or edge://net-internals/#dns.

@ParadoxCipher18, in case you're still experiencing this issue, can you give the previous suggestions in the thread a try? Does this only happen when in Offline mode? If yes, then it's possible that there might be some corrupted cache causing this. I'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app to remove your current downloads and the cache. You can re-download the content afterwards to see if the issue persists.

Thanks for posting here and welcome.

Would you mind letting us know exactly which steps you've tried so far? That way, we can avoid repeating any steps. If you haven't yet, we'd recommend you to perform a clean reinstall of the app to ensure the app is up-to-date and that the stored cache is not leading to this behavior.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

The make/model and OS of the affected device.
The exact Spotify version you're running.
Does this happen on the web player?
Do you use any VPN services? If yes, try switching it off or set Spotify up as an exception. Spotify does not currently block VPN usage, but we also do not support it and we can't guarantee that the service would work as expected when using one.

Hi thanks for response and apologies for my late reply,

Spotify for Windows (64 bit)

This is the current version. I reset the app data and it worked but when i restart my laptop it happened again the covers are gone. I do not use any vpn and its is also same on web player. I also clean reinstall the app yesterday but its still same.

Thanks for the reply and the additional info!

Could you check the hosts file on your PC for any potential entries with 'Spotify' in the address and remove them? There's a detailed guide on how to do this here. Also, make sure your network firewall isn't blocking the "spotifycdn.com" domain, or any other domain/IP related to Spotify. If you want, you can test by temporarily disabling your firewall and restarting the app to see if it would work then.

Something else that's worth a shot is using another network - you can create a mobile hotspot from your phone, for example.
