Can you give us a bit more info when you're getting this error - is it directly when you try to log in or after? Are you able to log in using the web player?

it happen when i just try to log in, and its impossible to use the web player... but on my phone it works as always

Yup, same issue here. My music stopped playing with a weird noise, spotify closed and i cant open it anymore. Now I get this error code after pc restart

does it asks to select a certificate for you ? even if i select one it doesnt do nothing anyway but its weird

i got the same problem on my laptop (sry my spotify is in french)

bassicaly it says that my firewall is blocking spotify, and that i should update it or edit the proxy settings.

i did the things they told, even disable the firewall but nothing had changed. Any comment would be helpful thxs for your responses.

I randomly googled this as I received the same error code. I can log in on the browser version, but when I open the Desktop App it prompts me to select between two different certificates, and then proceeds to fail the login. Then it will prompt a red notification saying that I need to change my firewall/proxy settings.

I started experiencing this issue as of 9:48 AM EST, 4/29/26

Same problem. Cant log into the Desktop App, Web browser works just fine. It asked me for a certificate before and i reinstalled it. Cant log in since.

yes, and downloading the certificate doesnt work, so dont try that

Same problem occurred just now, when i try to login. Selecting a certificate doesn't solve it. Furthermore it says my spotify-app is blocked by a firewall of windows. Didn't happen before.

ı can fixed it but i think its proably a chance. same problems in Türkiye i swicthed settings no proxy and a few log in try but dont open then reback the settings automatic choice and its fixed (sorry for bad englısh)
