Description

I have a message "Application is not installed" while entering search result (artist hit)

A more detailed description, using numbered steps

1. Type an artist name

2. From search results, pick artist name

3. Error occured...

What I expected to happen

The list of tracks and albums related to artist.

What actually happened

As descried.

My Operating System

Windows 8. (not 8.1)

Is your Operating System 32 or 64 bit?

64bit

Do you have a Service Pack installed?

No.

My Spotify version

0.9.11.27.g2b1a638c

My internet provider and country

Poland, doesn;t matter.

Did you do a clean install of your current Windows version or did you upgrade from a previous version?

Hi. Could you try reinstalling spotify following the steps here. If you still have problems, please shout.

I had this same problem on Linux native client.

For anybody else with the same issue, I did the following:

shutdown spotify (if running)

open a terminal and type in the following in your home directory (Ubuntu 14.04, check your own locations)

~$ rm -rf ~/.config/spofity/

~$ rm -rf ~/.cache/spotify/

restart spotify and login as usual

Worked for me. Good luck.
