Spotify crashes display adapter driver

Hi,

if i turn on "use hardware acceleration" it usually at some random point first freezes the software and then the whole desktop, then display goes black. when image returns i finally able to see any error messages is see this message:

"display adapter driver has recovered from serious error and has been reseted/restarted."

here is my pc specs:

Windows 8.1 x64 / 8gb ddr3 1600mhz ram / amd fx 8-core cpu / nvidia gtx 690 with latest WHQL drivers / latest spotify version (stable).

solution:

i just have to disable "hardware acceleration" in spotify settings menu. then the problem is gone.

is this nvidia drivers related issue or maybe spotify bug??

there are reported problems with hw acceleration and (Nvidia) cards 😞
